Volunteering
Volunteers Are Vital To Grassroots Football. Grassroots football depends on volunteers, without the time, dedication, and commitment of our volunteers each week, clubs and leagues would simply not exist.
Behind every grassroots football match is an army of volunteers making it happen.
All grassroots football clubs rely on volunteers to help the club run smoothly, and Cookham Dean Football Club are no exception. From Committee Members to Team Managers & Coaches, helpers on match days and serving clubhouse refreshments.

Fundraising for the new Clubhouse at Lower Mount Farm, Long Lane, Cookham
Following the confirmation that we have secured Planning Consent for a new Clubhouse and Football Pitches at Long Lane we are now raising funds in an effort to make this dream become a reality. This new facility will complement, and run alongside, the longstanding clubhouse and pitches at the Alfred Major Recreation Ground expanding our capacity to provide access to football for all age groups in the community with a quality facility.
Cookham Dean FC Committee Members have joined with Copas Farms to provide a new pavilion and football pitches for adults and junior teams on their land at Lower Mount Farm.
Initially a lease has been agreed between both parties for the football pitches, which came into use during the 2022/23 season. Negotiations are ongoing for a long-term lease for both the pitches and the new pavilion to enable Cookham Dean FC to have security of tenure in order to secure funding from the Football Foundation who are passionate about investing in local facilities.
Funding is being sought in the following ways
